Me, Myself, and I - POEM

Image
Me, Myself, and I Me, Myself, and I, three parts that stand nearby. Different faces, different views, yet all live for what is true. One side dreams both day and night, argues, wonders, full of sight. It builds worlds that never rest, lost in thoughts it knows the best. Another side thinks in clean, straight lines, counts the steps and reads the signs. Cold but strong, it plans and sees, choosing sense and certainty. The last side stands to keep control, holding balance of the whole. Sometimes calm, sometimes fast, wants things done and wants them fast. Me, Myself, and I, three voices passing by. Time moves on without a cry, all unite to breathe a sigh. BY CCR

What is Schrödinger’s cat probability?

Image
Imagine a box with a cat inside. You also put a device in the box that has a 50% chance of killing the cat after one hour. The box is completely closed, so the only way to know what happened is by opening it. After one hour, you want to know whether the cat is alive, but you do not open the box. Since there is a 50% chance the cat survived and a 50% chance it died, we cannot say for sure what happened. So, until we open the box and check, we treat the cat as if it is both alive and dead at the same time . This may sound strange, but this is how quantum physics explains such situations. This idea is called superposition . Being alive is one possible state, and being dead is another possible state. Because we have no information about which one actually happened, we assume the cat exists in a combination of both states until we observe it.

Do self-help books really work?

Image
My answer:- It largely depends on the person who’s reading the book. The transformation I have witnessed in myself is solely because of reading and following self-help and personal development books. Few of my friends who read a couple of books that I was reading in the same month showed no significant changes in their personality. They were exactly the same as they were before. If there are no changes in you after reading the book, then you’ve wasted your time and energy. Just reading is not going to help you. There are people who have read Think and Grow Rich (the blockbuster personal development book to get rich and successful) but not even once they followed what Napoleon Hill was asking them to. From jumping to the chapter he asked, to writing those goals down. No action was taken. The author can only tell you what can be done in order to fulfill your dreams but it completely depends on how you imply that in your life. Personally, self-help books are a great way to know about ours...

Why is it hard to find happiness?

Image
Why does happiness seem so elusive? I love this question. Its like why is water wet? First, lets get you rewired a little, so to speak. Happiness is a transient state or occurrence that is converted to an emotion. We call that emotion happiness. It certainly is not a state of being. The ultimate goal is actually to be content. Contentment is a more static state. Happiness is based on something going on at a particular time. You can be happy, but still not be content. Happiness is really more like a fix that comes and goes. Contentment is much deeper, which I think is really the question and a great one. Contentment is not given to you by anyone. You give it to yourself by learning how to obtain it. But to make this work, you have to be clear on the difference between happiness and contentment. You had a great food. You got nice gifts . You got a raise. These all trigger emotions we convert to happiness. Like a glass of water. You drink, its gone, your thirsty again. You need more water...

The Art of Keeping Your Vote Private (Politely and Smoothly)

Image
Whenever election season arrives, we often get asked   “Hey, whom are you voting for?” It’s a common question during that time. Most of us feel uncomfortable telling everyone whom we’re voting for because there’s always that fear: What if the candidate I didn’t support ends up winning? They might prioritize their own bootlickers and make it harder for others to get government work done. This fear is common, which is why many people prefer to remain silent.  But the real problem starts when a candidate or the candidate’s relatives ask you directly, “Whom are you voting for?” That’s where things get awkward. You might think, “I’ll just say I’m supporting them,” but it’s not that simple. If you say it directly, they might start using your name for publicity, and later it becomes uncomfortable to deny.  But if you refuse openly, they may start feeling suspicious about you. So what’s the best way to handle these questions without creating awkwardness? You can resp...
